Landscape of Gunungkidul

• The Landscape & ecologically conserved area includes Seribu Mountain Range (as natural conservation area). The conservation of forests covers the area that borders Bantul Regency, Baturagung zone bordering with Klaten Regency and Panggung Masif Zone bordering Wonogiri Regency; riverbank areas, particularly Oyo River and the coastal line; as well as the area seriously impacted by natural disasters (erosion, landslide and drought).

• The agriculture area in the Wonosari Plateau Zone. Within this zone, there is also an important forest used for research called Wanagama developed by the Faculty of Forestry Gadjah Mada University since 1960.
